Our research team has built up the necessary expertise around photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy in the supportive cancer care. Moreover, we are the first 'centre of excellenc' in Belgium where patient care and research on PBM in the field of oncology are combined.
Our ultimate goal is to share our “know how” with other healthcare professionals in order to to stimulate the implementation of PBM in clinical practice. As such every cancer patient can enjoy the advantages of this emerging therapy for the prevention and management of the cancer therapy-related side effects. This will eventually improve the patients' quality of life during and after cancer treatment.
